After starting his career in rotating equipment engineering, Roderick returned to his roots in automotive engineering and spent several years at Bosch. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, he made a deliberate shift toward the medical technology sector, motivated by the opportunity to create greater societal impact through engineering.
At Demcon, Roderick contributed to a wide variety of medical device development projects. Over time, he discovered that he particularly enjoys working on a dedicated product with a long-term vision, while his interest in control engineering continued to grow. These ambitions ultimately led him to Demcon macawi respiratory systems.
With a strong passion for Control Systems, Roderick now focuses on developing and integrating algorithms that enhance Mechanical Ventilation performance. The combination of hands-on engineering expertise and system-level thinking allows him to fully engage with the complexities of smart ventilation and contribute to the next generation of advanced solutions.
Reflecting on his work in the first few months, Roderick says: “Being part of a team of highly skilled and dedicated colleagues makes my work both fun and engaging.”
